Community Service and Local Impact

Here are some of the many community service projects we are currently focused on. Each year, we add or change projects. Let us know if you have a favorite community project you would like us to consider!

Community Garage Sale

The Montville Women's Club holds a town-wide garage sale each year in the first week of June. A town map lists the address of each garage sale so you can drive around and check them off one at a time. If you live in town, don't miss this opportunity to buy your permit and clean out items you no longer need.

Serving our Veterans

Montville Womens club celebrates Veterans day 2024

MTWC provides support to active military and homeless veterans. We support a variety of projects for veterans within transitional facilities. In addition, we compile holiday stockings for service members annually.

Education Awards

Montville Twp High School Schlorship 2022.

The Women's Club offers awards to Montville Township High School students each year. Candidates for these awards provide a written explanation of their plans for further education and career goals. A committee of club members reviews the entries and determines which two entries qualify for these awards in June of each year.

Road Cleanup

The Women's Club joins other community groups in providing road clean-up services to improve the local environment for town properties. MTWC members participate in four clean-ups each year, using equipment the town provides. We coordinate our first clean-up with Earth Day in April.

Annual Blood Drive

On the last Sunday of January each year, the MTWC hosts a blood drive at the Montville Senior Center on Main Road. We strive to collect enough pints of blood for the local area in this life-saving effort.

Kiwanis Food Pantry

We have been collecting food for the Montville Kiwanis Food Pantry for many years. Their need for food staples continues to grow each year. Your donations help local families struggling with food insecurity.

We are proud of our community impact.

Montville High School ACCE Students Team Up with the Montville Women’s Club!
Each year we participate in Operation Smile, which helps children born with a cleft lip and palate by providing them with "Smile Bag" supplies, including crayons, coloring books, toothbrushes, washcloths, combs, etc. Let us know if you have any items to donate.
We are proud to support The Seeing Eye, a non-profit organization that trains dogs to assist the blind. A speaker from the organization shared many aspects of the entire process of acquiring and training the dogs, giving us a deeper understanding of the effort needed to prepare and give a special dog to a person in need.
We have also raised funds for a hydraulic lift for our local first aid squad.

What Our Donations Mean to Them!
